MAIORA 20 METRE
Commissioned by FIPA in Italy in 2000. All documentation states 2000 model year. The Maiora build quality needs to be seen to be fully appreciated. Fabulous attention to detail, redundancy for many systems and superb engineering.

This is an exceptional example, very highly specified and maintained to an excellent standard by an experience full time crew. She is BVI flagged. She has been used in Europe under temporary importation - an arrangement which could be continued subject to status.

Head system (black water)
Microphor heads with air controls (fresh water) and two high-pressure pumps in engine room (one is a back up of the other). By means of 3-way valves the heads can discharge directly overboard or into a 129 gallon fibreglass holding tank with level control and alarm in pilothouse. Heavy-duty electric pump to empty the holding tank and discharging overboard. Pumping out system from main deck to the marina facilities.

Bilge systems
Automatic bilge pumps, one in every compartment with floating switch; one heavy duty electric pump in utility room with manifold, pipes and valves for suction from each compartment; one emergency manual pump working on the same manifold; high volume suction from the engine room is guaranteed in emergency by opening a valve that connects the raw water pump of the engine to the bilge suction; high level bilge alarms with synoptic alarm panel in wheelhouse.

Fire Systems:
Seawater: one electric, heavy-duty fire pump with suction from the sea (this pump can be used also to wash anchor and chain and as a back up of the main bilge pump); two fire outlets on deck; hoses and nozzles;
CO2: fixed fire system in the E.R. with pipes and sprinklers; two x 20 lb bottles located in the forward garage; controls are mechanical from deck and before injecting CO2 into the E.R. the same controls shut down fuel valves, blowers and air intakes of the E.R.
